Therefore we are developing Heat load Calculator software based on the RTS method for Indian conditions. Dedicated outdoor air units can now dehumidify and reheat the air to room. Although simple in concept, RTS involves too many calculations for practical use as a manual method, although it can easily be implemented in a simple computerized spreadsheet. ASHRAE recommended RTS cooling methodology based on Heat Balance and ASHRAE Tables. The RTS method is suitable for peak design load calculations, but not for annual energy simulations because of its inherent limiting assumptions. These characteristics of the RTS method make it easier to apply engineering judgment during cooling load calculation. In addition, it is desirable for the user to be able to inspect and compare the coefficients for different construction and zone types in a form showing their relative effect on the result. This method was developed to offer an approach that is rigorous, yet does not require iterative calculations, and that quantifies each component’s contribution to the total cooling load. It effectively replaces all other simplified (non-heat-balance) methods, such as the transfer function method (TFM), the cooling load temperature difference/cooling load factor (CLTD/CLF) method, and the total equivalent temperature difference/time averaging (TETD/TA) method. The radiant time series (RTS) method is a simplified method for performing design cooling load calculations that are derived from the heat balance (HB) method. Some of the most popular heating and cooling load software used by mechanical engineers. Total cooling load of auditorium is calculated by CLTD method and results are validated with Hourly analysis program (HAP) and Trace 700 software.Radiant time series method for Indian condition Most professionals use software programs as their calculation tool. The design of Auditorium is developed by AutoCAD software. Cooling Load Temperature Difference (CLTD), Radiant Time Series (RTS) and Total equivalent temperature difference (TEDF) are different methods to calculate. In this study we explained CLTD method to calculate cooling load of an auditorium. Cooling Load Temperature Difference (CLTD), Radiant Time Series (RTS) and Total equivalent temperature difference (TEDF) are different methods to calculate the total cooling load. To install air conditioning system for comfortable environment it is mandatory to estimate the total cooling load of building. The necessity of design of such system is increasing day by day. Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system is required to provide comfort conditions such as humidity, temperature and other environment parameters for occupants and machines.
